KISS Gym Timer - User Guide

Overview

KISS Gym Timer is designed to help you manage your workouts efficiently by keeping it smart and simple. The app features two modes: Counted Set and Timed Set. This guide covers both modes to help you get the most out of your workouts.

Counted Set Mode

Setting Up Your Workout

  1. Open the App: Launch the KISS Gym Timer app on your iOS device.
  2. Select Counted Set: Ensure the Counted Set mode is selected. This is the default screen you see upon opening the app.

Configuring Your Workout

  1. Workout Sets: Scroll through the picker to select the number of sets you plan to complete. For example, if you want to perform 3 sets, ensure the number 3 is highlighted. Select Sets
  2. Rest Duration: Scroll through the rest duration picker to set the desired rest period between sets. For example, if you want a 40-second rest, make sure 00:40 is highlighted. Select Rest Duration
  3. Start Workout: Press the green 'START' button to begin your workout session.

During Your Workout

  1. Workout Progress: The app will display the number of sets completed and the current set you are on. Workout Progress
    • The large number at the top indicates the number of sets completed.
    • The circle below shows the current set you are performing.
  2. Rest Period: Once a set is completed, the app transitions to the rest screen, showing a countdown timer for your rest duration. Rest Period
    • The countdown timer shows the remaining time to rest before starting the next set.
    • You can pause the rest timer by pressing the 'Pause' button or cancel the workout by pressing 'Cancel'.

Completing Your Workout

Final Set: After completing all the sets, the app will enter a cooling down period.

Cooling Down
  • The timer will display the remaining time for cooling down.
  • You can pause or cancel the cooldown period similar to the rest period.

Timed Set Mode (Interval Training)

Setting Up Your Workout

  1. Open the App: Launch the KISS Gym Timer app on your iOS device.
  2. Select Timed Set: Tap on the Timed Set icon at the bottom of the screen to switch to Timed Set mode.

Configuring Your Workout

  1. Workout Duration: Scroll through the picker to select the duration of each workout set. For example, if you want each set to last 10 seconds, ensure 00:10 is highlighted. Select Workout Duration
  2. Workout Sets: Scroll through the picker to select the number of sets you plan to complete. For example, if you want to perform 10 sets, ensure the number 10 is highlighted. Select Workout Sets
  3. Rest Duration: Scroll through the picker to set the desired rest period between sets. For example, if you want a 30-second rest, make sure 00:30 is highlighted. Select Rest Duration
  4. Start Workout: Press the green 'START' button to begin your workout session.

During Your Workout

  1. Get Ready: The app will display a countdown to get ready before starting the first set. Get Ready
    • The circle will countdown from 3 seconds to start your workout.
  2. Workout Progress: The app will display the number of sets completed and the current set you are on. Workout Progress
    • The large number at the top indicates the number of sets completed.
    • The circle below shows the current set and the remaining time for that set.
  3. Rest Period: Once a set is completed, the app transitions to the rest screen, showing a countdown timer for your rest duration. Rest Period

Additional Features

  • Settings: Access additional settings by tapping the gear icon at the top right corner of the main screen.
  • Switch Mode: Switch between Counted Set and Timed Set by selecting the respective icons at the bottom of the screen.

Tips for Best Use

  • Consistency: Use the app consistently to track and improve your workout performance.
  • Customization: Adjust the number of sets, workout durations, and rest durations to match your fitness goals and workout plans.
  • Rest and Cool Down: Make sure to utilize the rest and cooldown periods effectively to prevent overexertion and injuries.
